A second year high school student and a Kendo club member, Tamao Tsukamu, admires his senpai, the club captain, Kiritani Konome.

What is the best anime you’ve ever watched?

This answer is to state which is the “best" anime I've watched not my favorite, which is by the way either Hunter x Hunter or Naruto. Back to the subject at hand the “BEST” anime I have ever watched would have to be: Psycho pass One key theme in this anime is that its “mature”.
No high school, no kawii lolis, nope, none of that.
It is a cyperpunk production that has us dive into the new future where the extraordinary development of AI and robotics thrive in our setting Japan.
Now in this thriving nation of AI there has been there has been a system that determines every action the country takes which is the “Sibyl System”.
Now this system governs the national with almost unnatural perfection.
This is due to many factors but mainly is due to the “psycho pass" system that reads your crime coefficient.
Basically reads your symmetric scan (soul) and can view your mental state which shows if your are someone who has committed crimes or if you are capable of doing so. There if you are found guilty of having your crime coefficient surpasses the limit the “Sibyl System” deems you a menace to society and either dubs you a latent criminal (no rights as a human being) or a threat that needs to be eliminated on sight.
Now on to the characters: Akane Tsunemori is the main character, and she’s, well, pretty good.
The weakest of the main cast, I think, but she stands on her own.
She avoids falling into female anime character stereotypes, and remains strong despite them.
She is no Mary Sue, though, and makes and learns from her Shinya Kogami is our male lead, and he is an excellent character.
Kept spoiler free of course, I think he’s very relatable.
He feels genuinely human, as he is motivated by revenge, and hate, and various negative emotions.
Unlike some main characters suffering from a frustrating hero complex, Kogami feels guilt about reasonable mistakes he has made.
He feels very human, and you can’t help but root for him, even though he makes some genuinely bad decisions. Shougo Makashima is our last main character, and the best part of the show in my opinion.
He is the antagonist, and a good one.
His goals make sense, especially to the viewer.
He’s one of the few characters who openly criticizes the government; the government in Psycho Pass is pretty clearly problematic to say the least, and it’s nice to have a character who agrees with the audience.
Makashima is also very much a flawed character, and towards the end one can’t help but relate to his insecurities.
A top notch villain. There is a dark mood to the anime but that just makes it more thrilling to uncover mysteries, as well as its unpredictable nature meaning even important characters are at the risk of dying and so concludes my “best anime" review and I bid you all farewell P.S if your looking for a hand to hand combat anime with actual real world mechanics, look no further than Psycho pass.
Also this anime has 2 seasons and a movie
